Library:

 

The college has a fine library stocked with almost 20, 000 books and journals and a spacious reading room. It is open from 10.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. (from Monday to Friday) and 10.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on Saturdays. Besides the Central Library there are Seminar Libraries in every department, which stock text and reference books and photocopies of important articles and model questions papers;

Hostel:

 

South Calcutta Girls' College is the only college in the southern part of the city that offers hostel facility to the students. It can at present accommodate 50 boarders. The hostel is efficiently run on a low budget basis and great attention is paid to the cleanliness of the premises, discipline and well being of the students.

Hostel Charges are payable at the time of admission. Only food charges may be paid in two installment in an equal amount (Rs. 5100/- + Rs. 4250/-). First installment to be paid at the time of admission and the second installment in the month of December every year. Once admitted, only the caution money will be refunded

South Calcutta Girls' College Computer Centre (Ph: 2475 7453) has been set up in Technical collaboration with The Institute of Computer Engineers (India), and is recognized by Dept. of Electronics (DOE) Govt. of India and Courses approved by AICTE.
